In recent years, with the development of the new energy industry, the proportion of new energy power generation volume connected to the power grid has gradually increased, which has brought tests to the safe and stable operation of the power grid and put forward higher requirements for the operation and scheduling of the power system. At the same time, the demand for TOU price difference, peak regulation and frequency regulation, and supporting new energy generation smooth power curve, tracking planned generation curve, and dispatch side response in the power market continues to increase. With the rapid decline in the cost of chemical batteries, the application of energy storage technology in the power industry has brought new impetus. Container energy storage system has the characteristics of simplifying infrastructure construction costs, short construction cycle, high modularity, easy transportation and installation. It can be applied to thermal, wind, solar power stations or islands, communities, schools, factories, large load power plants and other applications. The design of energy storage container is mainly composed of energy storage battery pack, battery management system (BMS), energy storage converter (PCS), energy management system (EMS), thermal management system, safety fire protection system, monitoring system, data monitoring system, connectors and wiring.

1. Energy storage battery pack: the single type of battery can be lithium iron phosphate battery, lithium battery, lead-carbon battery and lead-acid battery. The core part of the battery energy storage system is the battery pack, which is usually composed of a large number of single batteries. Battery pack size and battery type will be selected according to the actual use requirements.

2. Battery management system (BMS) : The battery management system is one of the key components of the battery energy storage system, which is used to monitor and control the charging and discharging process of the battery to avoid overcharging or excessive discharge of the battery.

3. Energy storage converter (PCS) : The converter is a device that converts direct current into alternating current. PCS can control the charging and discharging process to carry out AC/DC conversion, and it can directly supply AC load in the case of no grid. In battery energy storage systems, inverters are commonly used to convert direct current stored in batteries into alternating current to supply home, industrial and commercial equipment.

4. Energy management system (EMS) : the function and role of EMS in the application of energy storage system are more important. In the distribution network, EMS mainly collects the real-time power status of the power grid through communication with smart meters, and monitors the change of load power in real time. Control automatic power generation and evaluate the status of the power system to avoid battery overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent and other faults caused by abnormal operation.

5. Thermal management system: The special air conditioning system according to the external environment temperature and the temperature in the warehouse real-time adjustment, through the thermal management strategy to control the air conditioning cold and hot system, to ensure that the temperature in the container is in the appropriate range, extend the battery life. High-quality battery energy storage systems require excellent heat dissipation equipment to keep the temperature of the battery pack within a safe range and improve the service life of the battery pack.

6. Safety fire system: In order to ensure the safety of the storage battery container, the container is equipped with a special fire and air conditioning system, which senses the fire through the smoke sensor, temperature sensor, humidity sensor, emergency light and other safety equipment, and automatically extinguisher the fire.

7. Monitoring system: The monitoring camera can remotely monitor the operating status of the equipment in the warehouse.

8. Data monitoring system: data monitoring system is used to collect the indicators of the battery energy storage system, such as temperature, voltage, current, power and other data, output the corresponding data, reports and warnings. It can form a remote client to monitor and manage the running status and battery status of the equipment in the warehouse through the client or app.

9. Connectors and wiring: Connectors and wiring are used to connect battery packs, battery management systems, inverters and other system related parts.
